I highly recommend Block Appraisals. Scott was very responsive with my questions both BEFORE and AFTER the completion of the appraisal. By ‘responsive’ I mean BOTH in a timely AND comprehensive fashion. He showed up to the appraisal site on time and completed the on-site inspection expeditiously. Mr. Scott Block is a consummate professional who helped us with a difficult legal matter regarding a mixed use commercial and residential apartment building property we own in Manhattan. Great experience with Scott at Block Appraisals. I hired them because my insurance company had given me what seemed like an absurdly high rebuild cost for my house. The appraisal confirmed it was about 10 times too high. Scott was punctual, easy to work with, and very helpful throughout the process. The price was reasonable and exactly in the range I expected. Had a great experience working with Scott. What I appreciated most was his attention to detail and how much time he took to understand the nuances of both the property and each of the comparable sales. He really dug into the differences between the comps rather than just looking at the headline numbers, which gave me a lot of confidence that he was getting to the most accurate and thorough valuation possible.
